Meet Jill Kratky “Yelrah” the Artist

Jill Kratky is always dreaming up a new project! She feels her art speaks for itself and if you see a piece you love, she wants you to know.

From childhood and ever since she can remember the images have run through her brain and crayon wax and paint through her veins! She is an animal and nature lover, she gardens, landscapes, home decorates and sews while spending time with her family and “fur family”. She also loves to sing and strum a ukulele and takes dance lessons in her spare time.

What better way to combine her loves she thought! “I’ll paint and help the many stray animals on the social media pages!” Jill signs her paintings “Yelrah” Harley spelt backwards. Harley was the family’s beautiful longhaired dachshund whose life was cut short by cancer.

She was invited to paint a donation piece for ACTSS Animal Cancer Therapy Subsidization Society and so a portion of each piece she creates goes to help stray and suffering animals. She has also been successful in donating to SCARS (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society) Alberta with her commissioned artwork and continues to make that her mission.

Jill is also fascinated with bees, recently completed a beekeeping course and continues to learn and aspires to be a bee keeper.
